The best selling items on Amazon this holiday season were tablets. More specifically, the tablet which sold the most was the Kindle Fire HD. The device advertises a stunning HD display, faster processor, and longer battery life.For a price of $139, the consumer can purchase the updated version of the previous generation Kindle Fire.
The newer version offers a new lightweight design as well as up to 10 hours of battery life. In addition, the Kindle Fire HD includes an all-new X-Ray feature for music and movies.
Amazon has not released the exact number of tablets sold but it did verify that it was the most sold item. The analytics firm Flurry, however, estimates that over 17 million tablets were activated on Christmas Day. Although this does not specify if those tablets were purchased via Amazon, it does serve to support the claim that tablets were the best-selling items this holiday season.
